Publication Ethics
The Journal of Creative Community Engagement (JCCE) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and taking all necessary measures to prevent publication malpractice. This statement follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies to all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.
1. Duties of Authors
Authors are required to:

Present original, accurate, and honest research work.

Ensure that manuscripts are free from plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and redundant publication.

Properly cite all sources used in the manuscript.

Confirm that the manuscript is not under consideration or published elsewhere.

Include only those who have made significant contributions as authors and avoid ghost authorship.

Disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the research or interpretation of results.

Comply with research ethics, including ethical approval when research involves human subjects or sensitive data.
2. Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for:

Making publication decisions based on academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Ensuring a fair, objective, and non-discriminatory editorial process.

Maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

Avoiding conflicts of interest in editorial decisions.

Taking appropriate action when ethical issues such as plagiarism or duplicate publication are identified.
3. Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers should:

Conduct reviews in an objective, constructive, and timely manner.

Treat manuscripts as confidential documents.

Provide feedback that helps improve the scholarly quality of the manuscript.

Declare conflicts of interest and decline reviews where bias may exist.

Identify potential ethical issues, including plagiarism and redundant publication.
4. Peer Review Process
JCCE employs a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed to ensure objectivity and integrity.
5. Plagiarism and Publication Malpractice
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts exceeding the journal’s similarity threshold may be rejected or returned to authors for clarification or revision.
JCCE does not tolerate publication malpractice, including:

6. Retraction and Correction Policy
If significant errors or ethical violations are identified after publication, JCCE reserves the right to issue corrections, clarifications, or retractions in accordance with publication ethics guidelines.
7. Open Access and Copyright
JCCE supports open access principles to enhance the dissemination of knowledge while respecting authors’ copyright and the integrity of scholarly work.
